Whatta summer that was, it lasted about 6 years for me... New 45 is out on SWELLTUNE RECORDS (their first release!), it's me singing backed by a buncha New England all-stars, including a song written by SEAN MENCHER of HIGH NOON, who also handles guitar duties on both tracks. Both sides are "Shake-Up" related - The New England Shake-Up is a great fest near Boston, and this 45 is a kinda greeting card to make the scene, pick it up at SWELLTUNE RECORDS... Also recorded an EP with DEKE DICKERSON that should be out sometime soon on his label, more news soon... Finished recording a single with Japans THE's, hopefully that will be out soon too - Stay posted!

Headed south this week for 10 shows opening for THE LEGENDARY SHACK SHAKERS...then off to Utah..and closing the month at a Halloween show at The Museum Of Fine Arts in Quebec City!

Been a wild ride of a year so far, let's see... Started off 2017 in Germany for NYE at the LET'S GET WILD fest... Then went to ARCADIA STUDIOS in Maine to record a new single for SWELLTUNE RECORDS (release date Sept '17 at the NEW ENGLAND SHAKE-UP - where I'll be heading an all-request set at the Pre-party)... Did more recording with MATT VERTA-RAY in New York City for an upcoming EP collab... Played in Brooklyn with MUNGO JERRY (!)... Was nominated for an Ameripolitan Music Award (which turned into a fun mini-tour of Texas with pals Jittery Jack & Miss Amy)... Another tour of Florida... An appearance on the BELLE ET BUM TV show (Click here & here for vids)... Played one of the final shows at Toronto's SILVER DOLLAR before they shut down... Went to Las Vegas to play the book launch for pin-up photog queen SHANNON BROOKES' VROOM (and did a cameo during DEKE DICKERSONs "Rhythm & Blues Revue")... Joined Beat poet CHARLES PLYMELL  in Montreal to perform the songs done off our 7" collab... Played 2 shows with Japans THE's, and did some recording together - hoping to have a single out soon, stay tuned... Went out west to BC to perform at a tribute show for RAY CONDO, and was backed by his band THE RICOCHETS...Passed thru Kansas City for the WESTPORT ROOTS fest...Did a tour of the U.S. West Coast, East Coast, and mid-west...Played Calgary during stampede time...Got to play drums a lot more this summer - I wanna do more of that!

Recently in Utah, I managed to meet up with HAL SCHNEIDER (original singer/drummer/songwriter for THREE ACES & A JOKER, who laid down the GREATEST party song ever in '59 - BOOZE PARTY!) Hal came to our show and joined us on stage for a wild rendition of his hit, and we even got together the next day to record 2 songs he wrote back in the day but never recorded himself - they are GREAT tunes and will hopefully have some more news to share about this soon! For now, enjoy this clip of us jammin in Ogden, UT!
